Teaching Facilities

One University

Interprofessional education is the model for patient-centered care. Penn’s unique single campus for undergraduate, graduate and professional schools allows seamless interprofessional education in medicine, dentistry, nursing, law, and social work disciplines and facilitates team training.

The School of Medicine encourages students to expand their learning in areas that are evidently relevant and also in the wide range of arts and sciences. Our “One University” concept allows medical students to take courses in other schools without additional cost.

The Jordan Medical Education Center

The Henry A. Jordan M’62 Medical Education Center, Penn’s home of the Perelman School of Medicine.

Among the first medical education centers in the nation to integrate learning space with active clinical and research facilities, the Jordan Center permits students to learn the practice of medicine from the classroom to the examination room to the lab. Located where The Perelman Center for Advanced Medicine and The Smilow Center for Translational Research connect, the Jordan Center’s flexible, revolutionary design and ultra-high-tech features facilitate small-group learning, hyper-connectivity, collaboration and innovation.
