Keri Monahan is a research assistant at the Center for Bioethics, where her role includes working with Dr. Pamela Sankar on a project that aims to explore how race and ethnicity concepts are used in genetic research. Keri received her Masters degree from Drexel University School of Public Health (Health Management & Policy, 2002) and her Bachelor’s degree from Stanford University (Human Biology, 1998). Keri is also a PhD student in the University of Pennsylvania Department of Sociology, where she studies medical sociology and the sociology of culture. She is the co-author of “A Rapid HIV Testing Program for Labor and Delivery in an Inner-City Teaching Hospital”, which appeared in The AIDS Reader in January 2006.
